The pinch valve sleeve is the only component in direct contact with the process media. Selecting the right sleeve material is critical for ensuring wear resistance, service life, and uninterrupted operation.
Our rubber elastomer sleeves offer high elasticity, excellent water resistance, and superior sealing performance, combined with outstanding abrasion and corrosion resistance — exactly what modern industrial processes demand.
For vacuum service conditions, we incorporate assist springs into the sleeve design. This ensures the valve opens freely under low-pressure or vacuum conditions, or after extended periods in the closed position.
BYOU sleeves have proven performance in highly abrasive and corrosive applications, delivering reliable shut-off and control. In crystallizing and scaling media, the sleeve's self-cleaning capability ensures unrestricted operation — a feature unmatched by other valve types.
Engineered for maximum performance and durability
The only part in direct contact with process media. Formulated for optimal chemical resistance and sealing performance against the media.
Polyester or aramid fiber reinforcement provides exceptional tensile strength and dimensional stability under pressure.
Protects against external damage, handling wear, and environmental factors to extend service life.
Choose the right material for your specific application requirements
| Material | Description |
|---|---|
| NR (Natural Rubber) | Standard sleeve. Best mechanical strength, resists most corrosive media, excellent abrasion and erosion resistance. |
| SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) | Standard sleeve. Good service life, abrasion resistance, and chemical compatibility. Performs well at elevated temperatures. |
| CR (Neoprene) | Suitable for moderately corrosive chemicals, ozone, fats, and various hydrocarbons. |
| NBR (Nitrile Rubber) | Compatible with hydrocarbons, fats, oils, greases, kerosene, and moderately corrosive chemicals. |
| CSM (Hypalon) | Handles hot substances, ozone, weathering, and oxidizers. Excellent resistance to strong acids at ambient temperature. |
| IIR (Butyl Rubber) | Low gas permeability, resists acids, alkalis, and strong oxidizers. Good general chemical resistance. |
| PU (Polyurethane) | Outstanding abrasion resistance, low-temperature flexibility, and tear resistance. |
| EPDM | Excellent wear resistance at high temperatures. Suitable for steam, water, ketones, and dilute acids. |
| FPM (Viton/Fluororubber) | Resists most oils, chemicals, solvents, and halogenated hydrocarbons. Best overall chemical resistance. |
Key advantages of BYOU Pinch Valve Sleeves
Precision-molded elastomer construction ensures bubble-tight shutoff for critical isolation applications.
Pinch action naturally expels settled solids, preventing buildup in crystallizing and scaling media.
Multiple elastomer options ensure compatibility with virtually any process media from acids to hydrocarbons.
Assist spring option ensures reliable opening under vacuum or after extended closed periods.
